Finding this vintage hatchet in a local antique store for $7, I restored it back to usable condition using only hand tools. From some research it appears to be from the 1930's or 40's but if anyone can come up with a more accurate date please leave it in the comments. White vinegar and sea salt were used to remove most of the rust and the walnut is at least 40 years old. I wanted to try a longer handle this time and the overall length is 16\
